Federated Solution

The INFN-HBD Cloud Platform is structured as an open federated platform. The original data remains at the local data platforms. The data is made anonymous and the characteristics are extracted locally. Data, characteristics, specific datasets, etc. are acquired centrally, according to specific projects and established governance policies.

The platform is based on standard logic models (OASIDS – Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) and complies with security (ISO/IEC 27001-27017-27018) and privacy (GDPR) standards.

The platform is able to provide advanced analysis services and capabilities, including: design and deployment of experiments, definition and development of support services available to the federation, display of data access services and execution of functions, federated learning (training in local sites and publishing of algorithms).

The platform is also able to ensure interoperability with the structured database of the Servizio Sanitario Nazionale (National Health Service) and provide proprietary storage space.
